Hanson Pipe & Precast, Inc., today announced that all business operations in Canada will now operate under the Hanson Pipe & Precast, Ltd., name. The name change from Hanson Pipe & Products to Hanson Pipe & Precast signifies the diversity of Hanson’s products and is part of the overall Hanson business plan. The name change became final on September 8, 2006. All of Hanson’s Canadian plants are located in Ontario, in the following cities: Cambridge, Ottawa, Windsor and Whitby.
“This name change further unifies our brand, which has been created through a series of acquisitions over the years,” said Bob Christensen, Hanson’s Northeast region president. “Including 'Precast' in the name is a perfect fit for our Canadian operations, as we are Canada’s largest producer of precast concrete drainage system components.”
