Eric Wheeler joined Hanson in 2001 as the Pacific Northwest area manager. His new responsibilities include overseeing operations in Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Ontario, Rhode Island, South Dakota, North Carolina and Virginia. Prior to his promotion, Wheeler was president of Hanson’s Western region.

Before joining Hanson Pipe & Precast, Wheeler was the president and chief executive officer of The Quikset Organization’s East Coast division. Active in the concrete industry, Wheeler has participated in the Pacific Northwest Precast Concrete Association and the Underground Contractors Association and is a Rotary Club member.

Sue Tanenbaum’s new responsibilities include overseeing operations in Arizona, California, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Prior to her promotion, Tanenbaum was the vice president and general manager of the Northeast region’s Midwest area. Tanenbaum joined Hanson in 1999 with the acquisition of Ontario, Canada – based Loc Pipe Inc.

Before her career in the concrete industry, Tanenbaum was a real estate analyst for the largest Canadian supermarket chain and later moved into leasing for a large Canadian developer. She then joined her family’s concrete pipe and precast business, Loc Pipe Inc., and started in the shipping department to learn the business inside and out. Tanenbaum became involved in all aspects of production and sales - eventually working her way up to president of Loc Pipe. Tanenbaum is an active member of the concrete industry – she has held directorships on local and North American industry associations including most recently the position of Vice President of the Minnesota Concrete Pipe Association.
