Concrete Pipe Committee C-13 Awards Joe Lundy For Industry Developments. “Joe has demonstrated his knowledge and passion for this industry and our company over his 29 year career,” said Richard Manning, Hanson Building Products North America’s President. “We are so grateful for his dedication and service to the industry.” “Joe’s impact and contributions to the Hanson team, such as his involvement in expanding the engineering research lab at The University of Texas at Arlington and his contributions to ASTM International, are numerous,” added Clifford Hahne, Hanson’s South Central region president. “We feel very lucky to be able to celebrate this award with him.” ASTM International is one of the largest voluntary standards development organizations, developing technical standards that guide design and make materials, products, systems and services safer and cost effective. Committee C-13 is dedicated to creating and reviewing test methods and guides for the design, installation, testing, economic evaluation and performance of concrete pipe systems. In addition to being a member of Committee C-13 and its subcommittees, Lundy serves as a liaison to Committee C-27 on Precast Concrete Structures. Lundy is also an adjunct research professor in the structures group of the department of civil and environmental engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. His affiliations include the American Concrete Pipe Association, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials. Lundy works at Hanson Pipe & Precast’s South Central regional headquarters in Grand Prairie, Texas. The region services Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas through 26 facilities that produce products used for community and roadway development such as reinforced concrete pipe, drainage structures and modular bridges.
