| Most of Hanson’s concrete products are immune from attack by aggressive elements in their environment. However, some applications require that the concrete be protected. Those are generally wastewater collection or conveyance applications where sulfuric acid is biogenically created from hydrogen sulfide within the system.
When protection is required for concrete pipe, manholes or pump stations, Hanson can engineer and install a protective plastic barrier during the manufacturing process that will permanently isolate the concrete surface from the aggressive environment.
Protective systems commonly employed are Agru Sure Grip®, GSE Studliner® and AmerplateT-Lock®.
