Installation
The crossing assembly is initiated by placing the base modules on an accurately screed, compacted subgrade. Next, the rails are placed in their custom-formed recess. Finally, the center panels are bolted (four bolts per track foot) into place.
Relative to other crossing systems, the Premier® structure cuts many work details required to assemble and thoroughly tamp track. It also eliminates the need to place and fasten the surface materials required by conventional crossings. The Premier® crossing is normally installed in half the time required for other railroad crossing systems. |
